Managing Director

For the next level of our growth, we are looking for a Managing Director (gn) to further scale our work and impact. You will assume co-leadership of Yunus Corporate and work in YSB’s global leadership team, ultimately reporting to YSB’s board with co-founder Saskia Bruysten and chairman Prof. Muhammad Yunus.

You will continue scaling our business and impact model, driving new business and developing new relationships with clients and partners. This includes expanding the client base for existing offerings as well as developing new products and services.

Together with a diverse, remotely-based team, you will further develop the organizational setup of the organization, based on our existing values and organizational principles. You will work in a collaborative way with our team and have a chance to bring in your unique perspective and innovative ideas to drive our impact footprint.

You will be able to leverage a 10-year organizational track record, deep organizational knowledge, a diverse team of consultants and country leaders in Europe, LATAM, East Africa and India, an existing services team for operational tasks such as finance, HR and legal,  as well as a highly visible brand with strong partners.

• Track record in business development, i.e. initiating, developing and leading relationships with corporate clients towards exceptional results, including qualifying income leads and turning leads into project proposals.
• Experience in developing and scaling new business models (preferably with an impact focus).
• Proven passion for impact and an inspiring vision for the future of corporate sustainability and inclusiveness.

• At least two of the following experiences:
  - Experience as a tech startup founder.
  - Leadership experience in venture building and/or innovation consulting for multinational companies.
  - Experience as a social INTRApreneur in multinational companies.
  - Other comparable backgrounds in innovation management.
  - Experience in developing market-based solutions for social or environmental issues in developing and emerging markets.

• Previous leadership roles for remote, multi-cultural teams of significant size
• An inclusive leadership style with empathy for different cultures and contexts
• A high level of personal integrity and fit with our core team values: Humility, Integrity, Boldness, Results-Orientation & Fun
• MBA or equivalent backgrounds are a plus
• Fluency in written and oral English; German is an advantage but not required
• International and national travel (eventually) required; >25%
